Exciting Happenings, plus a new sales map and Treasuries

Capital Public Radio, Sacramento’s local National Public Radio station, hosts exhibits of local artists in their studios that rotate on a quarterly basis. For the 4th quarter this year, starting in October and running through mid/end December, eight local artists and crafters will have pieces on display including ME! I will have 2 crochet pieces and 5 jewelry sets on display along with professional museum/lobby cards next to each talking about my inspiration for the piece. There will also be 3 painters, a collage/mixed media artist, a sculptor, another jewelry artist, and a clothing and fiber artist with their art on display. This is a wonderful opportunity for all eight of us and we’re very excited (and have been working very hard!) to show our art in this wonderful venue. Everyone who visits the station for fund drives, on-air guests, and meetings will be able to see (and hopefully buy) our art. It’s fantastic exposure for all of us. Plus, a commission from each item sold goes to Capital Public Radio to support their programs – it’s a win-win for all! There will be a free public reception at the station on Saturday November 9th where you can not only see all our art but talk to the artists about what inspires us, how we create, and more.

This Saturday is the AWESOME and HUGE Arts and Crafts Fair at Bella Vista High School. This is the 30th anniversary of this Fair. It’s a fantastic event every year and this year will be no exception! Come out between 8:30am and 4pm and say hi and start your holiday shopping!

I’ve had a few more online sales and have updated my sales map accordingly:

I was also featured in quite a few new Treasuries on Etsy since I last posted them here.

Next time I’ll have a few sneak peeks of new items I’m working on – I just started a new cape in the most fantastic yarn!
